I met Lt. Col. Djordje Anicic in 2009, when I was working on a documentary on Operation Noble Anvil (misnamed in Serbia as "Merciful Angel"). Back in those spring days I managed to meet many people who bravely stood up to the attacks of the NATO Navy. Brussels and the NATO hoped to get Serbia down on its knees quickly and break the spirit of the rebellious Serbs. In the end nothing came of that.

The rebel chaos is contributing to a significant increase in the popularity of Assad and his regime, which had guaranteed stability and freedom from the worst privations for decades.
